My blog has died, my blog has risen, my blog will be blog-alicious, AGAIN!

Lol, sorry about the big delay between posts.

A (very) belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to ya'll :o)
Hope your New Years resolutions go well. I'm pretty sure mine are EPIC FAILS already....

....But, ANYWAY....

Over this fantabulous Summer break (HAHA where I live in AUSTRALIA it's currently SUMMERRR!! Nice, warm, delicious, summery SUMMER! No, actually, it's disgustingly hot and humid and icky and sticky and gross at the moment. Yeah, be jealous) I have been swimming, going to the cinema pretty much every second day, sleepover-ing (?), reading, sleeping, eating...living.....breathing....
Pretty much anything you can do besides blogging.

SO, let me share with you a few things that I have done over these Summer holidays, in more detail:

-I graduated 7th Grade. Oh yeeaaah!

-And, following that, I walked out the gates of that school for the last time! Oh YEEEAAH!!!

-I got a maxi dress for Christmas! (I've been wanting one of those since I can remember!)

-I finally bought GOGGLES for swimming! YAY (-irrelevant-)

-I received a huuuge package of my booklist stuff for HIGH SCHOOL! How awesome is that?! (again, -irrelevant-)

-I went and saw Paranormal Activity. Scary as hell.

-The following week, I went and saw AVATAR! EPIC!!!11!one!!!1!

-I read most of Eclipse!!! Yay, some free time to actually sit down and READ for once.....

-I pigged out on (junk) food pretty much 98.906 % of the Summer break

-And, of course, how could I forget, I temporarily stuffed up my hair with chlorine simply because of laziness to protect it! YAAAAAY!!! High five!! No?! Ok.

Anyways, back to school soon! Oh, joy! I will probably post again sometime around then. Love, peace, chicken grease, for now, but not forever :o)

XMAS SHOPPING & CG Method.....

Ok, let me tell you about the the Christmas shopping went.
I am broke.
My bank account is now non-existent.
I technically spent most of the money on myself, kinda (I guess I AM the scrooge).
And I'm not done yet.

Most of the shopping is done but I couldn't find some of the gifts I had in mind, so I'm finishing it this Friday. Then I have a week to wrap every little gift, organise xmas day, and help make (and fail at making) a huge pavlova for my excessively large family. But oh well, I still love Christmas and the anticipation towards it is half the fun.

Now, I have a story to share. While shopping, a 735mL bottle of Hello Hydration conditioner caught my eye at the pharmacy. I bought it along with a sulfate free shampoo (to clarify). I used both of them last night and said goodbye to my good hair days. My hair is very weighed down and bleh. My hair used to LOVE Hello Hydration but now I have figured out that it responds to the CG method A LOT better than HEHH. So now, accordingly, I'm starting CG all over again. 3 months in and I've already stuffed it up. LOL.

Sorry, just a ramble. Wish me luck on my 27467526247th CG journey. xx

Partner let me Upgrade U......PLUS Review No. #2

So, I have been busy with LIFE in general lately and I've been completely oblivious that I have a blog and that there might be the remote chance that someone out there is waiting for an update.......highly unlikely, but still.

I've been meaning to review the Sukin Conditioner, but all I have to say is that it is the same as GFNR only with a different scent (lemongrass/minty scent), it is a bit thicker, and is more expensive overall.

Today (while Christmas shopping, lol) I am on the look-out for the GFNR condish again. The only stores I can seem to find it are Big W and Chemist Warehouse. Bugger. But it's good enough to search for, probably even an HG!

~~~
But speaking of Chemist Warehouse, I went there on Monday and they have a huge wall of perfumes and colognes. I got to try some of the Britney Spears fragrances, and I have to say that I'm in love with Midnight Fantasy! I know that it seems immature or childish-ish to consider buying B.S. fragrances, but this one is different. It smells grown up and really mysterious and sexy. It's hard to describe but it sort of smells like plum or blue berry in the top notes, aqnd the dry down is a gorgeous warm vanilla scent. I have tried Fantasy before (I actually have it) and I can't say it is my favourite, but today I'm scooting on down to C.W. and hopefully buying a bottle of Midnight Fantasy. I think it's slowly creeping up to 'signature scent' status for me :oP Too many 'S'es.........lol
~~~

And don't bite me because I haven't done ANY Chrissy shopping yet. Don't worry, I'm not the Grinch. Or the Scrooge.

Review No. #1

Ok, so none of the plans worked out, lol. Coconut Sublime had to be ordered from the UK, Moogoo actually didn't end up smelling so good, my hair is too dry 4 a low-poo so that was out of the question and the price of Alchemy is ridiculous for an ittybitty bottle. So, I did some last minute thinking at the health food shop, and a litre bottle of Sukin Organics condish caught my eye.......I bought it for about $19.95 and I haven't used it yet, but it smells divine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be using after my...........drumroll please..........

Garnier Fructis Nutri-Repair condish runs out :o]
I tried this condish unintentionally last night (I was at my aunty's house after shopping, and only had those conditioners on hand) and I must say it is soooo rich!! It's delicious! It is cone-free and paraben-free and contains olive oil, shea butter and avocado oil! I saw the big bottle of it at BIG-W and had to snatch it up....then I thought what the heck, and got 2 since they were on sale :oD

Spoken like a true product junkie!!!

The GF condish is so moisturising and you don't have to use handfuls and handfuls of it to get a decent coverage. I didn't have my gel on hand so I did the conditioner only method, and scrunch the condish in, and removed some of the drips. My hair is usually 3b-ish with gel but last night it was 3a-3b coils ;o] it was great!!

That's the end of my review so far. There isn't much more to say about the condish except t's moisturising, delicious, and the price is right!!! All product junkies should have this in their cupboard! (Nutri-Repair is called Triple Nutrition in USA btw)

Reviews & Product Junkie-ness

I have to admit it. I am a Product Junkie. Yep, that's right. Every time I try a product, I want another one because maybe, just MAYBE it will top the first one I tried, but it actually ends up being rubbish. And so I buy one more product to see if that my be my holy grail of all time. Eh, it's good. But I reckon I can top it, so I buy ANOTHER one............you get the gist of it right? Lots of money wasted, lots of products, not enough storage in cupboard and not enough HG-ification.

But anyways, that aside, for those of you who read my blog (if there is anyone out there?? Hellooo?), expect product reviews soon :o]

I'm busting to try out CURLS Coconut Sublime conditioner, but the downside is that I have to get it shipped from overseas =\

If the shipping rates are retarded (like they were when I tried to order DevaCurl) then Plan B is.......MOOGOO!!!! Yum!! For those of you who don't know what MooGoo is, it's an all-natural Aussie brand of products (which all smell like Vanilla milkshake btw!) The price ain't that right, though :o\

Plan C would have to be Inecto!! I've heard it's similar to CURLS Coconut but I want to give CCSC a whirl first ;o]

Plan D is Alchemy Avocado & Calendula conditioner.

"OMGEE, that has a PARABEN Alannah! And who else is more paranoid about THEM but YOU Alannah??" I know I know, but the reviews are promising I guess....

Plan E is undecided. Actually, it IS decided. I will go back to Low-Poo with my one and only HEHH conditioner :oD and we will live happily ever after.......................but hopefully Plan A works first, lol

Exercise & Diet

Ok, I thought I would spice this blog up a little with a different topic; Exercise and a healthy diet. Sounds boring but it is an issue that a lot of people face everyday. This is just MY interpretation of a healthy lifestyle & MY routine.

DIET
I'll start with a plan of a regular healthy diet. It should be broken up into about 6 sections; Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner & Extras/Dessert.

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day because it gives you the energy for the day ahead, think of the rest of the meals as recharges or refills. You should have something healthy and beneficial for breakfast like maybe some fruit salad or cerel with fruit and milk. When you have cerel make sure it isn't loaded with sugar. Sugar will give you a temporary energy boost but it will wear out later....You can have breakfast whenever you wake up/whenever you feel like.

Your first snack should be between breakfast and lunch. You can have something small just to keep you going until lunch. It could be something like a museli bar or some nuts or biscuits.

Lunch should be at about 12-1pm. Some choices are a sandwich, some pasta, salad (I like it with french dressing & tuna.....yumm) or even take-away food. Just don't have take-away every single day, just sometimes.

Lunch should fill you up for a while so you can last a couple hours before having another snack if you want. Don't snack too much between lunch and dinner because then you won't want to eat all of your dinner. You might have some chips or yoghurt or leftovers from lunch, it's up to you.

You can cook up/buy anything you want for dinner because there are so many combos and varieties of food out there that you can create your own recipe yourself, so I won't suggest anything right now. Just make sure it is enough to fill you up (if you don't have dessert much) and it is at least a little beneficial to your health :o) and make sure it is delish...........

And finally for dessert, I like to have some crackers or ice-cream, chocolate(!!!!!!!), apple pie, a little slice of cake (not a ginormous one) or if dinner is enough food for you, you don't have to have dessert :) Also, Dessert doesn't have to be unhealthy, you could have fruit salad instead of those other foods!

Make sure you incorporate drinks and water into your diet too, you can last up to 2 weeks without food but only a couple days without h2o!!

EXERCISE
Always try to do at least 30 mins of exercise a day. Any exercise is good exercise, even if it is playing fetch with your dog or something small like that. If you need to start small (like walking for 30 mins) then feel free to do so. Don't start by sprinting 20km because you need to work your stamina and endurance up by starting small.

If yu feel like you don't have time to do exercise because you have a busy lifestyle, do little things like take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk instead of driving your car to the store and if you have even a little spare time, just go for a walk outside or something. Anything active counts. Exercise is just as important as a balanced diet.

Oh and diet doesn't mean 'CelebritySlim Diet' or 'Lemon Detox Diet' or anything like that. Diet means what you eat, what goes into your body, not what you stop putting into your body......xo
